Victorinox Swiss Champ Swiss Army Knife

Great item, got it as a gift for my husband on his birthday. I ordered engraving on the handle. He is really happy with it!

Having had an earlier version of this knife for more than 30 years, I was devastated when I lost the knife. Within a day or so, I realised how often it was used and needed- the only option was to replace it as soon as possible. I found the new improved and expanded version online, which arrived very quickly. I was astounded by the additional tools on the knife, the precision and engineering of the new knife, and learned quickly to take care when using the excellent scissors and blades because of their sharpness! I probably use the knife several times every day of my life - and now I have the latest perfect version!

I bought my original knife in Riyadh Saudi Arabia in 1981 when I was working there. I had it confiscated at airport security six weeks ago. I was sad to lose such a well made useful knife. This replacement is just as good if not better.I hope I don't leave this one in my hand luggage.

The Victorinox SwissChamp is possibly the perfect pocket multi-tool - Period. Whether black, red or all colours of the rainbow is a minor detail - though the fact that there are so many after-market scale options is good for those that are fussy about such ephemera. What is important - above all - is the sheer quality of each component in this wonderfully compact toolkit. Mine sits in a Victorinox mult--pocketted pouch (#4.0567.03), with an AAA flashlight, spare (Lithium) battery, fire-steel & striker, sharpener and flat-folding Hex-key & small screwdriver set. All-in-all, with the Swisschamp, a total of 47 available tools available - in one compact belt pouch. Amazing. What's even better is that many of the Swisstool features are dual-purpose, particularly if you spend a little time on YouTube, where there are several Victorinox enthusiast's videos demonstrating uses for Swiss Army Knife tools that Carl Elsener never dreamed about..! In my case (pouch), I carry a full-size Fire-steel & striker, but if you don't pick your teeth, you can even buy (from Firefly), a miniature ferrocerium fire-steel that slides into the same toothpick slot. More versatility... My own favorite Swisschamp tool is/are the pliers, which, though small in size, include a crimper, wire cutter, nut gripper and serrated plier tips - all in a compact yet robust tool. To make the Swisschamp perfect, Victorinox could have included a Locking main blade (as on their Wenger-derived model), for safety (I'd rather not lose blood because some moronic politician says all locking knives are "deadly weapons", purely to gain votes). It would also be an improvement if both the large screwdriver/bottle opener And the Phillips #2 driver incorporated the Wenger "Push-Lock" mechanism, which makes each item safer in use. Finally, Mr. Elsener (the fourth), can we PLEASE get rid of hook & loop (Velcro), fastenings for ALL Victorinox belt pouches..? It's cheap, it's nasty, it gathers fluff and stuff - and ALL such fastenings should be replaced with proper Stud/Popper fasteners.. That last paragraph is just to prove this is a real review, from one who has two Victorinox SwissChamps - and a whole host of other items from the same source. Not some "Paid-for" chinglish scribblings. In short, buy a SwissChamp and a Leatherman Free P2 and all your EDC needs are covered.

Bought laser etched with a personalisation, it was badly printed and not laser etched, loads of overspray, almost illegible. Very disappointing

For me l find the swiss champ Army Knife is an every day aid. From the two blades to the the pliers and especially the scissors. Have already trimmed some bushes with the saw blade,and for the price l am well pleased. This is my second Swiss Champ Army Knife l have had over the years.

A great all round pen knife, everything you need in one place for lifes little emergencies. I've carried one around with me ever since I was in the cubs scouts and this year I thought I'd treat myself to an up grade, I'll save my old one for when my grandson starts going to the cubs scouts, I'm sure he'll have lots of fun whittling wood and making tent pegs with it.

I don’t know where I’d be without it. My previous Champ was pulled by Airport security and I ordered a new one not long after the plane landed; that’s how important it is. Also.. I’ve used the knife for a huge variety of jobs - a real toolkit. If you have got one. GET ONE.

Far more than a penknife this is a pocket sized tool kit and had just about everything one is likely to need including a ballpoint pen and toothpick, for which replacements can be bought, a little screwdriver useful for specs etc, corkscrew, bottle opener, pliers, scissors, tweezers, nail file, cross-point and straight screwdrivers as well as knife-blades of course, I recommend it strongly and very handy multi-function tool.

I purchased my SwissChamp in Miami late in the last century, and it came in a leather case with a number of other useful accessories including a tiny Maglite torch, a compass and many other useful items. Sadly, these other accessories do not seem to be available now. The knife itself has been first class, being in as good condition as when purchased; I can highly recommend this knife.

My father bought me the SwissChamp knife in Jamaica on a family holiday when I was 13. I'm now 30 and the knife still works perfectly. I haven't exactly kept it in a display box, either - it's seen some pretty brutal use in its time but has withstood it all. I came to visit this site because I wanted to check if it was still available to buy for my children when they're a bit older. I couldn't recommend it more strongly: I am sure mine will last my whole life and longer.

Beautiful item and excellent customer care and service. I opted for an engraving in ancient Greek. However it turned out that some of the hyphened characters would not print correctly. Rather than sending this directly for the laser printing, the 365 team contacted me to let me know so that we could find an alternative solution. Finally the team managed to find the perfect solution for getting the final result and engraving I had in mind. The final result is just wonderful while I am very thankful an grateful to swissarmy 365 for all their care and support in delivering an excellent product.

I have owned one of these for around 10 years and apart from losing the pen along the way it is still as good as the day i bought it. No rust at all.

My fiance wanted 4 of these as wedding gifts for his bestman etc and we ordered all with laser engraving using Times New Roman as the font. The engraving is immaculate, they told us how good it would be over the phone and we weren't sure what to expect but having opened each one up we are delighted.

The SwissChamp is my third Victorinox. Having owned the Spartan and Huntsman which are of the same high quality, I wanted something with more functions. The SwissChamp was the answer, it has so much on it but doesn't feel really heavy or bulky, it still feels really compact. Everyday you find yourself turning to it to fix a little job or carry out a task. I use it at home, for work and also take it camping and hiking.
